  • This course will remove the ubiquitous notions of trauma-informed practice in most public and independent sectors providing services to people, adults, young people and children. The challenge is a lack of consensus on a shared understanding of a trauma-informed organisation, or what a practitioner refers to as trauma-informed.

    The trauma-awareness and attachment-based programme covers;

    • What are trauma and its impact on children & young beliefs and behaviours,

    • How trauma and violent behaviour intersect,

    • What are CYP ’s help-seeking behaviours in the face of adverse events, and

    • How to implement the iCoN Trauma-Informed Engagement model, and

    • How practitioners take care of their past traumatisation.

    The programme is open and applicable to all people and practitioners who interact with children and young people since it is an awareness programme.
